Area formulas
Rectangle: length × width. Triangle: base × perpendicular height ÷ 2. Circle: π × radius². Use the same measurement unit for all dimensions.
Example: a rectangle 10 feet long and 5 feet wide has an area of 50 square feet. A triangle with a 10-foot base and 5-foot height has an area of 25 square feet.
For floor space, measure each rectangular section and add the areas. For acreage and land pricing, use the land area calculator.
